1. Motivational Quote.

Select a positive quote to start of your day and to live by. For example, “Today is a new day. You will get out of it just what you put into it.”

Personally, I spend about 5 minutes right after I wake up on the “Motivational Quotes” on Pinterest. It helps me start off my day on a positive note, not to mention that it makes me hungry for more progress in every area of my life! Whether you are using social media, a book, or simply listing all the things you are thankful for, you’ll be amazed how your perspective will change when you dedicate the first 5-10 minutes of your day to your soul and mind.

2. Make Gratitude a State of Mind.

Instead of listing all the reasons why you don’t want to go to work today (Big project, bad weather, dramatic coworkers, etc.), think of all the reasons why you should be thankful today. Specifically, thankfulness pertaining to you job. For example, the sole factor that you have a job, the quality of the job you have, that one coworker that always makes you laugh, etc. As you practice this each day, you will see how you start enjoying your job even more. You start focusing on the positive aspects of your job rather than the negative.

Just remember- there is no such thing as the “perfect” job. Each one of them has it’s pros and cons, and all of them will bring multiple challenges.

3. Refuel

It’s essential you recuperate from all of today’s stress. Many people make the mistake of leaving the office and still thinking about the million things they have to do tomorrow. Tomorrow will bring it’s own troubles, but today you need focus on keeping your body and mind healthy. Once you leave the office, engage in a relaxing activity and mentally “clock out” from all of your jobs troubles until tomorrow morning. Whether it is going to the gym, reading your favorite book, or getting a mani/pedi, it’s essential you do something for yourself. Don’t let all of the stress build up to the point that you get burned out!

Lastly, make sure you eat get proper rest.  Skip on that extra late night episode on Netflix and get to bed early. It’s essential you let your body “refuel” for all that tomorrow will bring!
