Innovative Staff Solutions is searching for a HR Manager to join our team in Princeton, IN.  This position is a direct hire position with an area manufacturer in the Princeton area.

The Human Resources Manager maintain and enhance the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs and practices.

Key Job Responsibilities for the HR Manager:

  • Employee Relations
  • Update and maintain company policies and procedures
  • Advise all managers and departments on personnel matters
  • Prepare and issue written warnings, suspensions for company violations as needed
  • Coordinate medical benefits/ 401K
  • Coordinate compensation and raises
  • Conduct and document investigations regarding policy violations
  • FMLA/LOA
  • Respond to all unemployment claims as well as attend UIA hearings
  • Coordinate online recruiting, identify recruiting sources, review resumes, screen and interview prospective employees
  • Coordinate drug screens, background check, employment references, offer letters
  • Data entry of all employee applications, maintain employee files
  • Track employee attendance
  • Respond to employment verification’s
  • Manage HR Staff
  • Enter employee schedules and changes
  • Handle all vacation/time off requests
  • Coordinate management training, maintain and update training matrix
  • Process all new hires, maintain and update spreadsheets for tracking of raises and eligibility of benefits
  • Process terminations
  • Employee orientations upon hire
  • Weekly payroll
  • Temporary staffing 
  • Track perfect attendance
  • Report monthly BPM
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Environmental, Health & Safety requirements of the HR Manager:

  • Complete compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments
  • Maintain relevant HSE logs and documentation
  • Provide assistance and advice on HSF issues to make recommendations to facility management
  • Participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis
  • Promote proactive incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors
  • Ensure that all facility personnel are trained in their specific safety responsibilities to maintain a positive and function HSE system
  • Develop and present HSE training
  • Observe HSF regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourages safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel
  • Maintain positive and proactive relations with managers and employees, as well as our customers and regulatory agencies
  • Walk the manufacturing floor on a regular basis to establish HSF presence and provide support
  • Write, implement and manage HSE programs and procedures
  • Perform facility HSE inspections
  • Have knowledge and enforce requirements of regulatory requirements
  • Ability to oversee hazardous waste storage area and ensure regulatory agency compliance
  • Manage emergency response and provide first aid treatment/training
  • Oversee behavior based/observation safety programs
  • Develop job hazard analysis
  • Ensure that an environmental management system is in place
  • Report monthly data ad progress to corporate HSE director
  • Responsible for initial HSE orientation of new employees
  • Responsible for safety training matrix’s and formal EHS training plan
  • Responsible for incident log
  • Reporting injury reports monthly to corporate
  • Maintain OSHA logs
  • Comply with all HSE policies

 

Education & Work History for HR Manager:

  • Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong attention to details
  • Strong Excel experience is required
  • 2-3 years HR/Recruiting Experience

Position Details for the Direct Hire HR Manager Position:

  • Monday-Friday 7-4 or 8-5 (Flexible)
  • After 90 days is eligible for medical, dental, vision, life insurance
  • After 120 days is eligible for 401K
  • Will get Vacation time, company cell phone, company laptop
  • Position is primarily HR; however will have some training and general responsibilities with the safety programs
