As a manager, having a “busy schedule” is an understatement. Chances are that most of you have a gym at your job or paid by your company, but are always too busy or tired to go spend and hour or more at the gym. Since we know how busy a life of a manager can be, but yet how essential it is for our health to at least do cardio three times a week, we have decided to provide you with some workouts that will make you sweat and burn a lot of calories in just 30 minutes! Next time, instead of unwinding in front of a TV after a long day at work, release some stress at the gym!

1. Elliptical Machine

The elliptical is magical for calorie-burning! So if your goal is to burn a bunch of calories, the elliptical machine will be your best friend. An average jog on the treadmill for 30 minutes will burn around 200 calories when going at 5.0mph, while the elliptical machine will burn around 400-450 calories in the same amount of time! Did we mention how it can also help you build muscle if you keep the resistance high.

2. Stair Master

The stair master is definitely not light cardio, but if you’re looking to burn a lot of calories AND build lean muscle, the stair master is for you! The stair master will burn about 500 calories in 30 minutes when you keep the resistance high, as it simultaneously works your calves, gluteus, hamstrings, quads, and (believe it or not) your lower abs!

3. Insanity

If you’re a beginner, Insanity is the best way to go! Not only are you getting coached by Shean T., but you’re breaking a sweat AND toning! If you don’t really know how to use the machinery at the gym or how to do intervals, Insanity is a great way to build your cardio and shed some pounds. Besides, every workout is only between 30-50 minutes!

4. Weight Lifting

If you’re a man – this is probably the one that calls your attention the most! On the other hand, ladies, don’t skip this one! Lifting weights will NOT make you bulky. On the contrary, lifting weights will help you get toned and lean. Make sure to include some weights in your weekly workout plan. Additionally, the days that you do legs with weights, cardio won’t be necessary! If you do it right, lifting weights while targeting your legs will help you build muscle AND give you great muscle definition!
