Since opening our first office in 1994, Innovative Staff Solutions has grown from a single office to a full-service staffing and professional recruiting agency with 16 locations throughout Illinois and Kentucky.

Our growth can be attributed to our adherence to core values, as well as our desire and dedication to provide the most effective solutions. To do so, we take the time to listen to the needs, goals, and challenges of our clients as well as our candidates. Meet Our Team

Wayne Meinhart – President & Founder

Wayne founded Innovative Staff Solutions in 1994 and currently serves as president, managing all daily operations. Prior to starting Innovative Staff Solutions, Wayne spent eight years as a franchise owner of a national staffing company. During those eight years, Wayne received numerous awards including the top honor President’s Award as one of the Top Franchise Owners.In addition to the daily management and operations of Innovative Staff Solutions, Wayne is actively involved in the local community. He has been a board member and president of Mattoon Chamber of Commerce, board member of Effingham Chamber of Commerce, board member of Coles County United Way, board member of Coles Together Economic Development Corporation, member of the Mattoon Fire and Police Board and member of the Mattoon Rotary. Wayne is also an active member of the staffing industry’s top associations including American Staffing Association and Illinois Staffing Association.

Derek Meinhart – Vice President

Derek has been with Innovative Staff Solutions from the very beginning. He started out as an operations manager for the company before becoming the branch sales manager. In 2007, he was promoted to vice president where he has been able to put his wealth of operations, management, and customer service experience to use. Derek understands the importance of providing our clients with exceptional service at a reasonable price. Derek’s responsibilities include management of the daily operations of all 18 ISS offices.Derek is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics with a minor in business. He is an active member in several community organizations including board member for the local chapter of Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and president of The United Way.

Nathan Meinhart – Vice President of Business Development

Nathan rejoined the ISS Team on September, 4, 2012, as the director of professional recruiting. He recently moved back to Mattoon after working in Chicago for over three years. While in Chicago, he worked as a recruiter for an IT recruiting company, TEK Systems and also as an account manager for Global Enterprise Technologies, a Cisco technology supplier. While he attended college at Eastern Illinois University, Nathan worked for ISS over school breaks as a career agent at an ISS on-site office and the Mattoon Branch, and also as an account manager doing sales for the Mattoon branch location.

Ashley Mundell, PHR – Director of Operations

Ashley is the Director of Operations for Innovative Staff Solutions and provides management support to all ISS offices. Prior to the director position, Ashley worked as an operations manager for Innovative Staff Solutions, human resources for International Paper and was a job preparedness instructor in the Illinois Department of Corrections. During that time, she focused on employee engagement, retention, recruitment and program implementation. She understands that ISS is only as successful as their partnerships; therefore, her direction will be focused on becoming an advocate to the client, candidates and employees.Ashley graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology. She also obtained her PHR from the Human Resource Certification Institute and is a national member of the SHRM organization.

Ashley Waggoner – Operations Manager

Ashley Waggoner is an Operations Manager with ISS and works primarily out of the corporate office.  Ashley is responsible for the internal training program both for new hires and existing staff and is responsible for internal recruiting efforts.  Ashley started with ISS in July 2007 as a Career Agent at a local on site location and progressively moved up within the company holding the positions of Traveling Career Agent, Assistant Operations Manager and then On Site Manager, until leaving the company in 2012 after five years of service.  She then began her career at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL as a HR Generalist/Recruiter where she focused on recruitment, customer service, work comp and the daily operations of the HR world.  In early 2014, Ashley rejoined ISS as an Operations Manager for training, implementation, and internal recruitment.  Ashley’s knowledge of ISS and her various experiences help with the ever changing and growing recruitment needs of ISS.  Her continued dedication, excellent customer service and passion for new hire training is what helps make ISS successful with internal retention.Ashley is a graduate from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

Anita Hoene – Operations Manager

Anita is an Operations Manager for Innovative Staff Solutions. Her primary focus is internal recruiting, the onboarding process, and training and development. Prior to the Operations Manager position, Anita worked at an On-Site Manager for Innovative Staff Solutions, and prior to that was a Store Director for J.Crew. Anita is passionate about training and development, as well as customer service. She is a firm believer in teamwork, and a team is only as strong as its weakest link. Anita graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in psychology, and a minor in criminal justice.

Ryan Peterson – Operations Manager

Ryan is the Operations manager for Innovative Staff Solutions and provides management support to all ISS offices. Prior to the Operations role, Ryan worked as an career agent, assist branch manager, onsite manager, and branch manager for Innovative Staff Solutions, pre-load supervisor and dispatch supervisor for United Parcel Service. During that time, he focused on dispatching, planning, and program implementation of driver routes. Ryan direction will be focused on the purpose, vision, and values of Innovative Staff Solutions. He understands that ISS will only be as successful as their partnerships.Ryan graduated from Lake Land college with a associates of Science. He also went on to study Kinesiology at the University of Eastern Illinois.

Chris Beals – Operations Manager

Chris joined Innovative Staff Solutions in March of 2016 as an Operations Manager. He was most recently employed by Mondelez International as a District Manager. He was primarily responsible for leading his teams to exceed financial sales objectives, providing outstanding customer service and team development. Chris began his career as a Sales Representative for Kraft Foods where he was responsible for delivering upon financial sales objectives, providing outstanding customer service and mentoring his hourly staff. He then spent 10 years in supervisory/management roles between Kraft Foods and Mondelez. He was named to the Kraft Foods Wall of Fame in 2010 for outstanding business results, leadership, and personal development, a recognition given to 1% of the sales force. Chris prides himself on providing outstanding customer service while developing his teams to be the best that they can be.

Chris graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. His wife and their three children make their home in Shelbyville, IL. Chris is an avid sports fan and devotes much of his free time to volunteering with youth sports.

Brian Lange – Operations Manager

Brian is an Operations Manager with Innovative Staff Solutions with management responsibilities in the Peru, Gibson City, and Rantoul areas. Brian joined the ISS team in 2016. Previously, Brian spent over twenty years as a sales representative with Kraft Nabisco and Mondelez International as well as served in the Illinois Army National Guard. During his time as a sales representative, the focus was on strategic sales planning and marketing, product and cost management, and customer relationships. Brian was the recipient of the inaugural Kraft Foods Retail Wall of Fame award in 2009 awarded to less than 1% of North American sales for superior business results, outstanding leadership, and personal development. Brian is dedicated to customer service and mentoring and developing his teams.

Brian graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts and currently resides in Mattoon, IL.

Debra Hendren – Risk Manager

Debra has been with Innovative Staff Solutions since 2010. She has 22 years of experience in the areas of workers’ compensation and risk management. She spent nine years working for a nationally known third party administrator, served as office manager for a law office specializing in worker’s compensation, and served as the “Business Health Services Representative,” for the largest multi–specialty medical facility in Central Illinois. Debra’s responsibilities at Innovative Staff Solutions include risk management and unemployment insurance.Debra attended Danville Area Community College, and enjoys volunteering and running.

Chad Clevenger – Director of Finance

Chad began with ISS as an intern in 2000. Since then, he has gained extensive experience in a variety of management roles within the company while serving as an on-site manager, training and implementation manager, as well as an operations manager. Chad has a complete understanding of the staffing industry and specializes in process improvement and bringing increased efficiencies to Innovative Staff Solutions. In addition to directing the accounting operations of the company, Chad also oversees the IT department for ISS.Chad graduated from Eureka College with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and lives in Mattoon with his wife Stephanie and his son Luke and daughter Emma.

Veronica Pine – Unemployment Manager

Veronica started with Innovative Staff Solutions in December of 2006. She has been a career agent as well as an onsite manager. In February of 2011, Veronica accepted the position of “unemployment manager.” Veronica brings with her eight years experience in telecommunications as a representative and as a supervisor.Veronica graduated from Lake Land College with an associates’ degree in business and Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor of science in business for marketing.

Rosemary Booker, PHR – HR Manager

Rosemary is the human resource manager for our internal staff and works at the corporate location. Rosemary started with Innovative Staff Solutions in December 2003 at the Decatur Branch office.  She has held many positions over the years including the roles of career agent, branch manager, on-site manager, and operations manager.  By working at almost every level of the ISS business, Rosemary has obtained a vast knowledge of day-to-day operations, recruitment, retention, and has a strong grasp on the value of excellent customer service and delivering on our promises.Rosemary is a graduate of Millikin University in Decatur, IL with a bachelor’s degree in communications and public relations.  She is a national SHRM member and has earned her PHR certification through the HR Certification Institute.

Amy Spry – Corporate Recruiter

Amy joined the ISS team in 2017, but has partnered with Innovative Staff Solutions for the past 10+ years as a client providing flex staff opportunities. Amy brings with her over 20 years of Human Resources experience with recruitment her primary focus. Amy will oversee the Corporate Recruiting for all internal opportunities at all locations. Amy is currently a member of the local SHRM group in Decatur and involved with the Chamber of Commerce. Before relocating to the Decatur area, Amy was very active with the Mattoon community as a board member of the Chamber of Commerce, Secretary for Kiwanis, and Past President of the HRA-ECI SHRM group. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor Degree in Consumer Affairs.
